A team focuses on common output, however for the output to be up to the mark, every member must perform at their optimum level. Productivity is best described as the effectiveness and efficiency of an individual, that is given a standard number of hours how much work can be done. It is not static nor uniform, but overall if the members of the team have good productivity, the team output is improved. In the Accounts team it is observed that due to the fragmentation of the process and monotony of work, productivity tends to drop. Lean accounting promotes the reduction of wastage and improved efficiency which is only possible with higher productivity.
Being productive reduces wastage of time and contributes to the lean process.
