Appraise don't accommodate

Every person requires periodic appraisals to be motivated and grow. It is noticed that in some organizations there is no set process of appraisal for the accounts department. The appraisal is either service-based or seniority-based and hardly efficiency-based. This leads to low morale and a lack of drive to work harder. Such an appraisal system brings about friction in team members as well and does not help in building a healthy team. Another issue with such an appraisal system is that the top positions could be filled by experienced personnel but not necessarily efficient ones, which eventually leads to the deterioration of the entire team.
